There is an old story called ”The Crane's Return of Favor."

I've been thinking about what this story is trying to say.

When you receive a favor, you must return it:

The happiness of the couple is lost as a result of breaking the promise not to watch the weaving, which shows the importance of keeping promises.

何故か原爆が落とされた広島にはお好み焼きのレストランが多い。

何故か店には折り紙が置かれている。

店に入ると大きな鉄板が置かれていて、

お客の前で店主によってお好み焼きがまるでステーキのように焼かれる。

お好み焼きが焼きあがるまでのわずかな時間にお客は世界の平和を願いながら折鶴を折る。

その平和への祈りがこもった折鶴は集められて広島平和公園に飾られる。

戦争の悲惨さを知っている広島の人々はやっとここまで進歩してきた人間にまた戦争はしてはいけないと祈りを捧げているのだ。人類の歴史を後戻りしてはいけないと不完全な人間に警告しているのだ。

折鶴は平和への願いでもある。

These paper cranes, filled with prayers for peace, are collected and displayed in Hiroshima Peace Park.

The people of Hiroshima, who know the horrors of war, are praying for humanity, who have finally made this much progress, that there must never be another war. They are warning imperfect humans that they must not go back in the history of mankind.

The paper cranes are also a wish for peace.

国なんかなければ戦争は起きないのに！

理想主義者と呼ばれるかもしれないけれど、
そう考えるのは私一人ではないと思う。

This is the sea where the Imperial Japanese Navy was defeated during World War II. I think we should not spoil this beautiful sea with foolish wars anymore.
